I will be offering recipes and advice. I am not a nutritionist, these are recommendations based from my knowledge. I personally have food allergies and I do not consume red meat, pork, dairy, tree nuts, or gluten. The food you consume should make you feel good! If you consume something that makes you feel extremely bloated or bad, if you tend to break out, or have digestive issues it is most likely because you ate something that your body did not agree with. The ''elimination diet'' is a great technique to discover your sensitivities to food. Some sensitivities are mild, and in moderation don't cause issues but its always good to be aware of the things that can cause you issues. I encourage you guys to cut out dairy (for the most part, if you can) for this program! If you choose not to do so you can replace coconut milk/almond milk with regular milk in any of my recipes! I recommend plant based protein powder and plant based vegan butter. Gluten is not ''bad'' for you, I only don't consume it bc I cannot. You can use regular flour or gluten free all purpose flour in any of my recipes! Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and it is also the most important. When we sleep, our bodies are fasting naturally. The first thing you consume when you wake up is what breaks the fast and jump starts the metabolism. Green foods are the best for your gut first thing, veggies are great with eggs or you can sneak greens in a smootie. Super greens supplements can work well and be used in smoothies. Personally I cannot eat anything green early in the morning, I eat protein oats every morning. I work out in the AM and need something solid in my stomach, everyone is different. If you are someone who doesnt enjoy breakfast, or you are trying to keep your calories down to lose fat a breakfast smoothie is a great option for you. Black coffee can also be used to jumpstart the metabolism in the morning. For lunch and dinner a meat, carbs, and veggies are simple and will do. Most people like eatting meat with every meal and that is fine. Lunch and dinner are harder when you have a picky family to feed or if you are only cooking for one person, make healthy choices and practice portion control. I like to replace ground beef with ground chicken, I use it in chilli and pasta! If you have any questions, or want further guidance just send me a message. I will be posting my recipes below, enjoy :)
